Exhibition + Drawing of the Moment: Current Art in the BBK Gallery Würzburg
Starting Saturday, November 14, 2026, the winter double exhibition in the BBK Gallery Würzburg invites you to discover two different approaches to contemporary art. The exhibition of BBK members showcases a diverse selection of current works, while the exhibition “Drawing of the Moment” focuses on drawing as an independent and adaptable medium.
Diversity of Current Artistic Positions
Painting, sculpture, installations, and media works meet in the exhibition of BBK members. The exhibition provides an immediate insight into different working methods, themes, and perspectives of the regional art scene. For visitors, a varied tour through contemporary positions with its own visual language emerges.
Drawing between Notation and Independent Work
“Drawing of the Moment” places drawing at the center. The presented works show the medium as a quick notation, as an independent artwork, and as a starting point for further artistic processes. This openness makes the exhibition visit an exciting event experience for art enthusiasts, curious explorers, and anyone who wants to experience current art from different perspectives.
Vernissage and Exhibition Period
The vernissage takes place on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the BBK Gallery. The exhibition can be seen from Saturday, November 14, to Sunday, December 20, 2026. It is open on Tuesdays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and from Wednesday to Sunday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. On every third Thursday of the month, the opening hours are extended until 9:00 PM. For the area “Drawing of the Moment”, the opening hours of the print shop also apply; access is via the old entrance on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Conclusion: Two Perspectives, an Inspiring Art Visit
The winter double exhibition connects the broad artistic variety of the BBK exhibition with the concentrated engagement with the medium of drawing. Visitors can expect an inspiring event atmosphere, new impressions, and a varied tour through current art in Würzburg. Anyone wishing to discover contemporary positions and experience the regional art scene directly should plan a visit to the BBK Gallery.
