Interfaces: When two handwriting styles create a common image
On Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM, the Stadttheater Fürth will open its lobbies for the vernissage of Andreas Heindl and Kurt Neubauer. Under the title Interfaces, two positions in representational painting meet – a sensuous art dialogue that can be seen until March 10, 2026.
Art Dialogue: Painting as Resonance Space
In this exhibition, motifs and painting techniques intertwine, color and light converge into an intense artwork examination. The exhibition atmosphere thrives on the interplay of proximity and distance: precisely placed contours, colorful accents, a clear spatial effect. This creates an art experience that sharpens vision and deepens aesthetic experience.
Andreas Heindl: Figuration, Symbolism, and Narrative Tension
The painter born in Thalmässing works from the observation of everyday life. Cycles like Children of Freedom showcase a realistic, sometimes surreal image language: precise compositions, luminous color chords, finely balanced materials from acrylic to oil. Heindl stages the human being as an actor in the panorama of the present – empathetic, but never pathetic. His works create a dense inner light direction that shapes the forms and lets them glow quietly.
Kurt Neubauer: Contemporary Impressionism between City and Figure
Neubauer, a painter and graphic artist in Nuremberg, prefers to paint plein air and sur-le-motif. With acrylic paints, he captures fleeting light situations: urban dwellers in motion, passages, underpasses, pub scenes. The image architecture remains strict and reduced – modern, unpretentious romance instead of nostalgic idyll. His palette weaves cool and warm tones into atmospheric chords; the brushstroke remains present and rhythms the space.
Curating, Location, and Access
Interfaces is presented at the Stadttheater Fürth in cooperation with the Art-Agency Hammond. The exhibition can be visited by theatergoers before the performances and during intermissions; those who exclusively want to see the exhibition are welcome 60–30 minutes before the shows start or by arrangement. The Große Haus offers barrier-free access through the side door on Bäumenstraße (EURO key/buzzer) as well as an induction system in the parquet, rows 1–10.
Conclusion
Two realistic handwriting styles, a precise dialogue: Interfaces shows how painting sharpens perception and opens spaces of meaning. Those who want to experience colors, shapes, and light in concentrated calm should definitely visit this exhibition live.
