From October 24 to November 8, 2026, the Würzburg Marketplace transforms into a vibrant autumn sales fair. Around the holiday of All Saints' Day, the traditional Häfeles Fair invites you to stroll, discover, and shop in the heart of the old town.
Market Atmosphere between Marienkapelle and Falkenhaus
Between the Upper and Lower Markets, a characteristic event atmosphere emerges with sales stalls, regional specialties, sweets, and beverages. Visitors discover practical goods for everyday use as well as special individual pieces – from clothing and baskets to household items, ceramics, pots, and cups.
Nearly 800 Years of Market History
The All Saints' Fair boasts an exceptionally long history. Würzburg received the fair rights in 1227 from the Staufer King Heinrich VII. To this day, the event combines historical urban culture with a varied shopping experience and Franconian market tradition.
Opening Hours and Event Planning
The fair opens Monday to Saturday from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The organization is managed by the event office of the city of Würzburg. Mornings during the week are especially suitable for a quiet stroll, while on weekends, a particularly lively atmosphere develops on the marketplace.
Free Admission and in the Heart of Würzburg's City Center
Entry to the All Saints' Fair is free. The open market format is suitable for families, locals, visitors, and anyone who wants to combine an autumn city stroll with shopping, enjoyment, and regional flair. Its central location makes the fair an uncomplicated part of a visit to the old town.
Conclusion: The All Saints' Fair offers an authentic Würzburg event experience with traditional market activities, diverse goods, and Franconian delights. Those who want to experience the special atmosphere of the Häfeles Fair live should stop by the marketplace between October 24 and November 8, 2026.
