Café Q | Billiards & Pinball Coburg

The Café Q in Coburg is a popular billiard café in the industrial area Vorderer Floßanger, combining leisure sports with relaxed gastronomy. Those looking to play billiards in a cozy atmosphere after work or on weekends, chase points on modern pinball machines, or linger with friends over a drink will find a reliable address here. The location at Vorderer Floßanger 31 offers easy access, and the spacious interiors on two galleries, along with a lounge, create space for larger groups. The official website clearly lists the gaming options: 17 billiard tables, 3 snooker tables, and 8 dart machines. Since 2025, the leisure offerings have been supplemented by two current Stern pinball machines (JAWS Pro and John Wick Pro) with Insider-Connected connectivity for leaderboards. For orientation on-site, the operators provide the note: The café is located between the car dealership Gelder & Sorg and the building materials trade Langguth. Those who want to plan ahead can find opening hours, contact information, and specials online; on-site, the food and drink menu provides accompaniment for the game night.

Opening Hours, Address, and What You Should Know Before Visiting

Transparent times are crucial for a planable game night. Café Q publishes its opening hours on its own website: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, it is open from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and on Fridays and Saturdays until 2:00 AM. The billiard café is closed on Tuesdays. This makes the location suitable for both a spontaneous evening during the week and extended weekend tournaments late at night. The address is Vorderer Floßanger 31, 96450 Coburg. Within the industrial area, the location is easily described: between the car dealership Gelder & Sorg and the building materials trade Langguth. This orientation is explicitly mentioned on the website, making navigation easier when arriving in the industrial area and seeing several halls and businesses. For questions and reservation arrangements, two official contact channels are available: Phone 09561 69777 and the email address info@cafe-q-coburg.de. Those wanting to check offers, promotions, or price lists can find a section for specials or price lists on the website. This is particularly helpful as discounts and combo offers are regularly announced there. Another tip from the city tourism information: On Mondays, billiards & snooker are half price. This makes the start of the week worthwhile for training and longer sessions. Combined with the long opening hours on weekends, this results in a good mix of quiet practice hours during the week and lively endings on Friday or Saturday nights. For families or leisure groups, the planable structure is important, especially since many guests combine their visit with food and drinks. Those new to Coburg can easily enter the address into navigation; those familiar with the area will remember: Industrial area Vorderer Floßanger, near Anger area.

Billiards, Snooker, Dart & Pinball: Equipment, Play Areas, and Experience

The heart of Café Q is the play area. 17 billiard tables provide ample capacity for simultaneous games – ideal if you arrive with several friends or spontaneously arrange a match. Additionally, there are 3 snooker tables for players who prefer the large cloth and tactical depth. The 8 dart machines expand the leisure offerings with another precision game; this allows for a varied evening, such as starting with billiards warm-up, a dart series, and a concluding rematch at the billiard table. The rooms are spread over two galleries, and there is also a lounge designed for breaks, conversations, and meals. These zones help to ease the gaming and staying areas, allowing for focused play without sacrificing sociability. Since 2025, Café Q has modernized its offerings and installed two current Stern pinball machines: JAWS Pro and John Wick Pro. Both devices are connected to the Insider-Connected system, allowing for tracking game scores and using leaderboards – an extra that stimulates sporting ambition and motivates guests to improve their best scores. The pinball scene in Franconia and Thuringia likes to include such stations in their tours, and in Coburg, it is now possible to play on two of the latest licensed titles. Scene portals on-site mention a guideline of €1 per game with three balls (coin insertion). Combined with the many billiard tables, Café Q is correspondingly versatile: training evenings for teams, casual leisure duels, beginners picking up a cue for the first time, and pinball fans specifically targeting the new devices. For snooker enthusiasts, the availability of three tables is noteworthy, as snooker tables are rarer compared to pool billiards. Café Q thus creates a place in Coburg where various disciplines are nurtured under one roof – without long distances, with gastronomy right on site.

Menu, Drinks, and Breaks Between Frames

Those who play for long periods and with concentration need sensible breaks. Café Q has its own food menu and an extensive drink menu, both linked directly on the website. This makes it clear before the visit which snacks, hot dishes, and drinks are available. For billiard cafés, balance is important: dishes should be uncomplicated without disturbing the game; drink selection and small dishes must remain quick to serve. Café Q takes this into account by thinking about service and leisure operations together. Even larger groups that can find space on the galleries can first play a round, then eat together, and subsequently play the rematch. Official information indicates that food and drinks are a fixed part of the concept – not as an addition, but as an integral part of the stay. Guests thus have the choice: those who just stop by for a drink and play a few darts are just as welcomed as the billiard group that settles in for several hours. It is advisable to keep an eye on the specials on-site. Especially on Mondays, when billiards & snooker are offered at half price, the demand is usually higher. The team refers online to a section for specials or price lists – there you can find current or limited-time offers that make the evening financially attractive. It is also practical that all relevant contact details – address, phone, and email – are directly displayed on the food and drink pages. So, if you read the menu from your smartphone, you can call or send an email with one tap. This supports flexible planning, for example, if a table group becomes available at short notice or if you want to coordinate the right time for a larger group.

Reviews, Atmosphere, and Typical Occasions

The mix of sports and gastronomy shapes the atmosphere in Café Q. In local directories and tourist information, the establishment is listed as a combination of bistro, café, restaurant, and bar – thus not a pure sports center, but a meeting place with food and drinks. This aligns with the impression that many billiard cafés in the German-speaking area maintain: One does not come exclusively to play but also to be together. The clear designation of the offerings (17 billiard tables, 3 snooker, 8 dart machines) creates expectation security, allowing groups to better split up and organize matches. The fact that the operators invest in the two new pinball titles JAWS Pro and John Wick Pro also shows that trends in leisure culture are being picked up. Pinball is experiencing a renaissance in many places; modern devices score with connected game statistics and seasonal challenges. For the ambiance, this means: Besides focused billiard play, there are always moments of cheers and applause when multiballs are triggered or new high scores are achieved on the pinball machines. Publicly accessible tourist profiles also mention a regular Monday offer (billiards & snooker at half price) – such recurring occasions ensure that regular guests arrange to meet on certain days. This fits well with family or friends' groups that have found their weekly rhythm. Those visiting Coburg can plan Café Q as a weather-independent program: first a city stroll or a walk, then a few frames of snooker or a series on the JAWS Pro pinball, and to conclude, something from the drink menu. The interplay of lounge, galleries, and play areas is designed to enjoy an evening in stages – with space for conversations, competition, and small culinary breaks.

Directions & Parking: Orientation in the Industrial Area and Parking Solution Anger

The uncomplicated accessibility is an advantage of the location. Café Q is located at Vorderer Floßanger 31 in the industrial area. For practical orientation, the operators mention two immediate neighbors: the car dealership Gelder & Sorg and the building materials trade Langguth. Those arriving by car will find a well-documented parking option at the large parking lot Anger in Coburg. The Anger is a spacious parking lot with 481 parking spaces. It is barrier-free accessible, operates with barriers and license plate recognition, and has clearly designated rates: The first 15 minutes are free, after that, each started half hour costs €0.60. A 24-hour ticket costs €4, corresponding to €8 for 48 hours and €12 for 72 hours. For navigation, the address Schützenstraße, 96450 Coburg is sufficient. From there, the industrial area Vorderer Floßanger can be reached in a few minutes by car. In Coburg, it regularly happens that the Anger is temporarily closed for major events such as the Samba Festival or the Marksmen's Festival; the city and Wohnbau Stadt Coburg provide information about this and name alternatives (parking garages Mauer, Zinkenwehr, Post, and underground garage Albertsplatz). Therefore, those arriving on event days should pay attention to the city's notices in advance. Outside of such periods, the Anger is an affordable and centrally located option. Furthermore, the city transparently describes parking-related administrative topics – such as regulations and reliefs – on its pages. For a quick visit in the afternoon or evening, the Anger’s rate table is usually the pragmatic solution. In summary, this means: Enter the address into the navigation, orient yourself upon arrival at the neighbors Gelder & Sorg and Langguth, and plan to park at the Anger. Those with mobility restrictions benefit from the barrier-free accessibility of the parking lot; access works through the camera-based system without ticket pulling. Payment is made at the machine by cash or card. After that, the barrier opens automatically – comfortable and quick.

Offers, Monday Discount, and Pinball Details: How to Plan Your Evening

Café Q bundles several incentives that make the visit planable and varied. For billiard and snooker players, Monday is exciting, as according to the official tourism profile Coburg, billiards & snooker are half price on this day. So, those wanting to train technique or play many frames in a row get a good price-time ratio. Additionally, it is worth checking the specials or price list section on the website: There, the operators list regular promotions that provide additional reasons to drop by spontaneously besides the standard rates. For pinball fans, the two Stern devices (JAWS Pro and John Wick Pro) are interesting – not only because of the licenses but also due to the connected Insider-Connected functions. This allows you to register at the device with a QR code, collect achievements, and compare yourself on leaderboards. Scene pages on-site mention a guideline of €1 per game (3 balls, coin insertion). Those who enjoy different disciplines can mix the evening: a snooker frame to warm up, a few quick dart legs, then a pinball challenge, and to finish, a billiard rematch. The architecture with two galleries and a lounge ensures that you can sit quietly in between, eat something, or order a drink. Depending on the group, it is advisable to briefly inquire by phone during peak times whether enough free tables are available, especially if you want several billiard tables next to each other. The central compilation of opening hours, contacts, and offers on the website helps coordinate the visit in real-time. This creates a rounded evening that combines sporting competition, sociability, and uncomplicated gastronomy.

Those arriving via Neustadter Straße, Kasernenstraße, or Dammweg will recognize the surroundings by car dealerships, logistics areas, and craft businesses. The clear naming of the neighbors makes orientation easier – particularly useful after dark when buildings and entrances appear less prominent. From a guest's perspective, the location is functional: late opening hours do not disturb anyone, parking spaces in the vicinity are geared towards businesses, and the path from the large parking lot Anger is short and straightforward. We visited this café for the first time on October 29, 2025. Our grandchildren, Nadja and Noel, surprisingly invited us for a billiards night with dinner. It was a pleasant surprise for us regarding the space, billiard tables, and of course the kitchen. The service staff was always attentive and very polite. The prices were reasonable for our game night. It was a wonderful evening for us.

We were at a birthday party in your establishment yesterday and would like to sincerely thank you for the wonderful stay. It was the ideal place for a family birthday celebration. Our son was very happy with the successful surprise. The service was excellent, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive, making us feel at home. The food was also outstanding, and the billiard table was in perfect condition. We will gladly recommend your place and are already looking forward to our next visit.

The food took forever to arrive, and it was frozen food. The pizza was rock hard and unseasoned. The men's restroom was covered in vomit. The woman behind the bar (who claims to be the boss) is incredibly rude, antisocial, inexperienced, cheeky, arrogant, and disrespectful. As soon as we arrived, she was unfriendly to us. This only got worse over several hours. Eye-rolling when ordering drinks. Ignoring. Insulting. Unbelievable. We will never come back and will advise all our friends against it from now on.
