I want to share my very bad experience with this hotel. At check-in, a Mr. J. lied to us since 2 PM. We were supposed to get 2 rooms on the 6th floor with a couple of friends. In the end, after 3 PM, we got one room on the 6th and another one from 3:30 PM on the 7th floor. The cleaning staff wouldn't be able to manage today's workload. We caught a cleaning lady sitting on the stairs on the 6th floor, using her phone. We were lied to and treated as if we weren't quite right. NEVER AGAIN. This hotel is unfortunately not recommendable. This hotel has no parking spaces and lacks polite service staff. I also reserve the right to send a brief message to the corporate head, Ms. Monika Gornmolla and her staff.

Really nice, large, and clean room (suite) with a view of the Main, facing a dim and dirty underground garage with a height of partly 1.90m. Breakfast really offers everything your heart desires. A small deduction for service due to a strange reaction to our comment that there was a price list in the room (16€ per day parking fee), but we were charged 20€ per day. That's just how it is, nothing can be done! 😳 Customer retention works differently.

I wanted to treat myself and my wife, so we booked the Maritim in Würzburg. So far the idea... We thought: for 2 nights at 415€ (!) you can expect something. Upon arrival and asking for a parking space, we were told at reception: "I'm sorry, there are no private parking spaces. You would have to try the parking garage at the congress center." However, the parking garage was full, so we embarked on our first adventure: searching for a parking spot. Found one after 30 minutes and about 2 km away. Only 20€ per day. (Bargain) Then walked back to the hotel with our luggage. After checking in, we asked about the sauna. "Using the sauna costs 5€ per person" (Of course, the room was also a bargain at a delicate 415€). Breakfast is not included either. That would be another 106€ for 2 nights! Now for the best part: The room: The promised minibar was an empty fridge with a sign saying: there's a vending machine with drinks at the entrance (of course, they were completely overpriced). The air conditioning didn't get cold, so we slept with the window open right on the main road. The TV changed channels on its own (probably from the neighboring room). I know from other, much cheaper hotels that things like shoehorns, bathrobes, slippers, and sewing kits are available. None of that here. With the room safe, you had to guess how it worked. No description. Everywhere in the room, there were reminders to save water and protect the climate, but you could only turn the shower on or off electrically. The water flow couldn't be adjusted. CONCLUSION: In our eyes, it's pure rip-off. There are better hotels that are closer to the old town and significantly cheaper.

Unfortunately, I didn't find the stay very convincing. The staff at the reception seemed absent and disinterested. I specifically asked if the room had a large double bed, and it was confirmed – but then it turned out to be a room with two single beds. It's also a shame that they can't manually assign rooms. I recommend better training for the staff in the hotel software (I was also a receptionist and know what's possible), so that mistakes like incorrect room information don't happen anymore. Additionally, the luggage room is not locked, which made me feel uneasy. When I went to get my luggage, I wasn't checked, so anyone could have just walked in. A little mishap on the side: I left blue roses on one of the lobby tables (not even 5 minutes!), and when I came back, they were gone, and no one knew anything, so the staff wasn't very attentive or careful. The breakfast is diverse, and there are also vegan options, so that's something good.

Great hotel, excellent service, gigantic breakfast. We just had a bit of bad luck with the room facing the "street" – it was extremely loud at night. If possible, always book the "garden side". The bar in the evening is also recommended. The location of the hotel is top with direct access to the Congress Hall.
