Stadthalle Fürth | Program & Seating Plan

The Stadthalle Fürth has been one of the central cultural and event addresses in the Nuremberg metropolitan region since 1982. Located at Rosenstraße 50, on the edge of the Fürth old town, it combines great stage moments with versatile spaces for fairs, conferences, and celebrations. The centerpiece is the large hall with 649 seats, which can be expanded to accommodate up to 1,288 seats if needed. The hall is equipped with modern sound and lighting technology, a fixed stage (approximately 120 m²), as well as variable seating and room concepts. Access is comfortable: the subway (U1) and bus stop near the hall entrance, and a dedicated parking garage provides parking spaces directly at the venue. Particularly convenient for guests from outside: the new Holiday Inn Express is directly adjacent to the Stadthalle through a shared foyer – ideal for conferences or multi-day cultural trips. Those looking for program, seating plan, directions, and services at a glance will find the most important information here, based on official data from the Stadthalle and the city of Fürth.

Program and Highlights: Current Events, New Year's Eve & Special Dates

The program of the Stadthalle Fürth deliberately spans a wide range: from classical ballet and family musicals to comedy and cabaret, as well as photo and travel shows, markets, and conferences. Around the turn of the year 2025/2026, the official event announcements include the “Nutcracker – Christmas Ballet for the Whole Family” on December 27, 2025, “Tarzan – The Musical” on December 28, 2025, and “New Year’s Eve 2025 – The Last Dance” on December 31, 2025. To kick off the new year, on January 2, 2026, “Swan Lake – Classical Ballet for Children” will be featured, as well as two high-profile live report formats on January 5, 2026 (“Michael Martin – Around the World on Two Wheels” and “TERRA – Around the World with the Camera”). This mix of family programming, dance, music, and knowledge entertainment is typical for the Stadthalle and shows why the venue is so popular in the region.

Another atmospheric example of the range is the Halloween program for children on October 31, 2025. Under the motto “Halloween – Spooky Festival for Children,” the house transforms into a “haunted castle.” The afternoon offers a magic show, participation activities from the Streng dance school, puppet theater, face painting, airbrush tattoos, a painting station, and a tombola. The key details according to the official announcement: Entry from 2:00 PM, start at 3:00 PM, end around 6:00 PM, ticket prices €8.00 in advance, €9.00 at the box office. Conveniently, a VGN combination ticket is provided for this event, so the arrival and departure with the U1 (stop “Stadthalle”) is included – a real advantage for families.

Rock fans also had a special date in 2025: Uriah Heep made a stop at the Stadthalle Fürth on November 5, 2025, as part of their “The Magician’s Farewell” tour. Announcements from regional media and organizers listed the performance with special guests – one of the farewell rounds of a rock legend that has shaped the genre for decades. Such regionally significant guest performances underline that the Stadthalle, in addition to its diverse family and cultural program, also offers space for great concert moments. Cabaret and comedy fans could also witness how the Fürth audience literally snatched tickets from Monika Gruber’s hands: Fürth Aktuell and regional media reported a sales record – the Fürth performances sold out in no time, and additional offers in the surrounding area were added. Even if individual dates sometimes take place in partner venues, the demand clearly shows how strong the Fürth region is as a cabaret location – and the Stadthalle, with its large stage and excellent sightlines, is one of the preferred addresses.

For those who want to stay informed about the ongoing program, the dates are continuously updated on the official website of the Stadthalle. Especially during the major program phases (autumn/winter, spring), it is worth checking regularly, as new tour dates, additional shows, or guest performances are often published promptly. Tip: For larger productions, it is advisable to book early and plan time for wardrobe and seat searching upon entry, so the evening can start relaxed.

Parking and Access: Parking Garage with 250 Spaces, Public Transport via U1 and Bus

Getting to the Stadthalle Fürth is comfortable both by car and by bus and subway. Those arriving by car should follow the highways A3 (via A73, exit Fürth-Poppenreuth), A6, or A9 (each via A73 to Fürth-Süd) towards the city center and orient themselves from there according to the signage “Stadthalle P.” Directly at the venue is a dedicated parking garage with 250 spaces. Important for planning: the entrance height is 1.80 m. The parking garage is open 24 hours a day, and designated disabled parking spaces are available on several levels (including the entrance level and levels 2, 4, and 8). The rates are transparent: €2.00 per started hour, daily maximum rate €20.00, parking ticket loss €20.00. For those who need to stop briefly, 15 minutes of free passage is available. For large events, the Stadthalle recommends Park & Ride, as inner-city capacities can be limited.

For visitors with special vehicles: Since the entrance height is limited to 1.80 m, the Stadthalle offers parking options for special vehicles on the riverside terrace by arrangement; the Wintergarten entrance is directly accessible from there. The path from the parking garage to the hall is barrier-free: access is possible via elevator to the main entrance, and barrier-free restroom facilities are available. Those who prefer to use public transport can take the U-Bahn line U1 to “Stadthalle” (from Nuremberg Hbf or Fürth Hbf) or the bus lines 172 (stop “Stadthalle Süd”) and 179 (stop “Maxbrücke”). A tip for wheelchair users: From the U1 stop “Rathaus,” there is a level path without incline to the Stadthalle, making it easier for companions to push.

Another advantage of the location: the new Holiday Inn Express Fürth is directly adjacent to the Stadthalle; through the shared foyer, guests can access the event from their room without getting wet. For teams and tour productions, logistical access is also arranged, for example, via the service yard (access Königsstraße) with lift access to the backstage or access with a maximum height of 2.60 m in the entrance area. Those looking for alternative parking options will find additional parking garages in the city center; the Stadthalle links to current occupancy status pages and parking overviews of the city.

Seating Plan and Seats: Large Hall, Blocks A–C, FOH Variants, and Wheelchair Spaces

For optimal seat selection, the Stadthalle provides official seating plans as a PDF. In the large hall, the row seating typically includes 649 seats, including designated wheelchair spaces; a second variant shows 633 seats when a FOH area (Front of House, e.g., sound technology) is set up in the hall. The plans are clearly structured and name the blocks A, B, and C, allowing for easy comparison of seating areas. In general, it holds true: in the center (Block A), the view of the stage is particularly direct; side blocks B and C offer excellent sightlines at a slightly different angle – depending on the production (musical, concert, lecture), some visitors may even prefer a slightly lateral perspective, especially when light or video installations play a role in the staging.

For very large productions, the large hall can be supplemented with the extension. In this combination, the row seating increases to up to 1,288 seats (also with designated wheelchair spaces, FOH variant 1,272). The Stadthalle communicates both versions transparently – a plus for planning organizers and ticket buyers. For unseated standing formats, the official capacity overview indicates 1,100 people in the large hall and up to 2,100 people in combination with the extension. Additionally, the small hall (240 seats) and Wintergarten (154 seats) are available, simplifying parallel sessions, receptions, or accompanying programs.

For guests with mobility restrictions, wheelchair zones are provided; accessibility is via the main entrance (level 3) and elevators to the halls (level 2). Important: For unseated rock concerts, an area for wheelchair users is reserved in the large hall or in the extension. Since the audience area is only partially accessible via stairs, the Stadthalle recommends checking the availability of wheelchair spaces when booking and possibly contacting in advance. Those who want to plan their concert evening perfectly should consider wardrobe time and get drinks before the show to avoid queues during the break – the gastronomy is prepared for the rush, especially for sold-out events.

Capacities, Rooms, and Technology: Numbers, Data, and Possibilities for Every Event

The Stadthalle Fürth is designed for versatility. According to the capacity overview, the large hall has 559 m² (height approx. 11 m) and offers 649 seats in row seating (parliamentary 330, banquet up to 400). In the combination of large hall + extension, 1,153 m² of space is usable, with 1,288 seats (parliamentary 712, banquet 740). The small hall measures 297 m² (rows 240, parliamentary 140–180, banquet 200), and the Wintergarten 208 m² (rows 154, parliamentary 90, banquet 100). Foyer areas – the large foyer (1,074 m²), the small foyer (480 m²), and the upper entrance foyer (766 m²) – expand the possibilities for fairs, exhibitions, or get-togethers. In total, the entire venue can accommodate up to approximately 3,900 people unseated; for banquet formats, the overview indicates 1,400 seats throughout the venue.

Technically, the Stadthalle is well equipped. In the large hall, a d&b Center-Cluster (Vi7P, Vi-SUB) as well as coordinated near-field and wing sound systems are available; dimmable hall and stage lighting covers conventional and moving systems. Projection options allow for front projection (approx. 11 × 7 m) and rear projection (approx. 12 × 7 m). The fixed stage in the large hall measures about 12 m wide × 10 m deep, with a height of approximately 14 m (clear height approx. 6 m). For hanging points and loads, there are, among other things, 7 hand counterweights, electric hoists, and additional hanging points; the rigging-related loads and points are documented. On the power side, multiple 3-phase connections (up to 125 A or Powerlock in the under-stage) are available; additional connections are distributed throughout the venue. WLAN solutions are provided as needed. In the large hall + extension, additional mobile grandstands, flexible partition walls, daylight with blackout options, and direct access to the riverside terrace are added – ideal for combined congress and evening formats.

The gastronomy topic is also resolved: An experienced tenant (Ferdin Catering) caters to guests and crews from snack and break buffets to gala dinners. The hall has clearly defined logistics routes, catering rooms, and backstage areas. For organizers, the provided PDFs with seating and technical plans are helpful, including detailed hall plans with wheelchair spaces (large hall 649 / 633 and combination 1,288 / 1,272). Additionally, the tourist information of the city of Fürth offers compact overviews of rooms, areas, and seating variants – a good starting point for inquiries.

Accessibility, Entrances, and Services: Level Paths, Induction Loop, and Hotel Connection

The Stadthalle Fürth documents its accessibility-related offerings in detail. The large and small halls (level 2) are accessible from the main entrance (level 3) via elevator; the Wintergarten has its own level access via the riverside terrace. For wheelchair users, the Stadthalle recommends the subway station “Rathaus,” as the further path is level without significant incline. Accessible restroom facilities are located on both sides of the entrance foyer (level 3); there is also an accessible restroom in the parking garage (contact the doorman via the parking garage intercom if locked). The parking garage itself has designated disabled parking spaces on several levels; the path to the hall leads directly to the main entrance via elevator.

For hearing aid users, the Stadthalle provides an induction loop in the large hall. Since the audience area is partially only accessible via stairs and special zones are designated for standing formats, the Stadthalle asks that wheelchair spaces be requested early. The staff on site are happy to help; service teams in the hall and foyer inform during events. Those planning to spend the evening as a short vacation benefit from the direct connection of the Holiday Inn Express through the shared foyer – ideal in bad weather. The location by the Rednitz and the new riverside terrace also offer airy outdoor areas for receptions or break areas. The riverside terrace itself, with around 1,200 m², was created as a compensatory area for the eliminated Paisleyplatz, and today serves not only as an event space but also, by arrangement, as a loading and standing area (e.g., nightliner) and parking for special vehicles.

Guests who wish to dine before or after the event will find numerous restaurants and cafés within walking distance in the Fürth old town. The adjacent shopping center FLAIR, the theater square, and the city park are also quickly reached. Those staying several days can comfortably reach other destinations in the metropolitan region from the hotel, such as Nuremberg by subway (U1) or Nuremberg Airport (about 10 km). For families, the PLAYMOBIL FunPark is a nearby excursion destination (about 9 km).

Renovation and Interim Operation: Timeline, Restrictions, and What Visitors Should Know

The Stadthalle Fürth transparently informs about the planned general renovation. The Fürth city council has fundamentally approved the renovation at the end of 2024. In 2025, an interim fire and safety concept was developed, which provided for continued operation under increased safety precautions, initially until the summer break of 2026. According to the official project page, the closure of the Stadthalle is scheduled for August 1, 2026, to initiate the general renovation. In the interim phase between August 1, 2026, and July 31, 2027, the following applies: music and dance events as well as standing concerts will be canceled, the grandstand will not be used, and the maximum allowable number of people will be reduced from 3,600 to 1,200. At the same time, event-appropriate formats such as row, table, and parliamentary seating in the large hall as well as conferences and fairs remain possible – with appropriately trained fire protection and evacuation helpers on site.

At the same time, the administration is preparing the tender for external specialist planning (inventory of the hall and underground garage, needs assessment, renovation concepts with rough schedule and cost framework). According to the Stadthalle, a tender result is expected in spring 2026. For visitors, this means: until the start of the general renovation, events will continue under clearly defined framework conditions; from the specified cut-off date, multi-year restrictions must be expected. Those planning tickets for later dates should pay attention to the organizers' notices and check the official pages for changes or rescheduling. The renovation page of the Stadthalle consolidates the updated milestones and answers the most important questions regarding the transition period.

That the venue is a reliable cultural anchor of the city is shown by the numbers of recent years: hundreds of events per year, along with high demand for popular shows. The combination of a central location, its own underground garage, direct hotel connection, flexible hall architecture, and professional technology makes the Stadthalle attractive in the future – both for international tour productions and for regional culture, congresses, and community festivals. Until modernization, the motto remains: Experience culture(s) – with good acoustics, clear orientation, fair parking rates, and short distances from the train or subway to the hall.

A nice place to listen to great artists and celebrate with friends. Like recently with MEUTE... It was a great experience... Unfortunately, I find the drinks and food options a bit lacking. A simple coffee would be great in the evening hours... Thank you Stadthalle Fürth for the great concerts over the past years.

I attended the OG Keemo concert at Stadthalle Fürth – overall a cool evening, but the venue has its weaknesses. It was extremely hot in the hall, which made it quite uncomfortable. Also, the cloakroom took forever, which was really annoying after the concert. I also found the stage position right next to the exit a bit odd – for concerts, I think it's a strange location. However, the good transport connections and plenty of parking options are worth mentioning, that went really smoothly. Overall okay, but not the best choice for a concert.

Great venue, centrally located, with bus and parking options nearby, but in June 2025 it wasn't possible to park directly nearby due to construction work. Nice acoustics, well-preserved ceiling frescoes, cozy small hall. Clean restrooms.

A hall for concerts and exhibitions. Unfortunately, there are way too few parking spaces, that's really the biggest problem. If possible, it's best to arrive by public transport.

We had a lovely music performance with Christmas swing music like Sinatra, Michael Bublé, and so on. However, the staff and the atmosphere in the Stadthalle felt like: We need to run the event without incidents and let almost no Christmas spirit come through. We don't want people to feel too comfortable because too much Christmas spirit is spread. Well, that's Germany... sober, sober, and again sober.
