Regensburg before Weather Change: Sun, Rain, and Strong Gusts

In Regensburg, Tuesday will initially remain pleasant and warm. However, a change is indicated towards the evening: more clouds, some rain, and increasing winds may bring the day to a close. As a result, temperatures will noticeably drop.

After a partly sunny Tuesday with up to 26 degrees, it will become cooler, windier, and more unsettled by midweek. Clouds will already move in during the evening, and later light rain may set in.

Tuesday in Regensburg: first sun, rain and gusts in the evening

Tuesday starts off cloudy in Regensburg. As the morning progresses, the sun will break through, and at times the sky will be cloudless. Around midday, temperatures will reach up to 26 degrees; moderate gusts from the southeast will accompany this.

In the afternoon, cloud cover will increase again. Light rain is possible towards evening. At the same time, the wind may shift to the west, bringing strong gusts of up to about 40 km/h.

Such gusts are typical for turbulent air currents around weather changes: the wind not only becomes stronger, but often comes in short, powerful bursts, which quickly becomes noticeable in the cityscape – for example, through flapping awnings, moving treetops, or suddenly "shifting" wind directions.

Wednesday noticeably cooler and windy

On Wednesday, the weather in Regensburg will feel significantly subdued. The day begins cloudy at around 11 degrees. As the day goes on, it remains cloudy, with the maximum temperature only reaching about 20 degrees.

A moderate wind with gusts from the north will blow. Compared to Tuesday, the drop in temperature is noticeable – the early summer impression from the previous day is over for now.

Thursday with showers and only 16 degrees

On Thursday, the cooler, more unsettled phase continues. Light rain showers are expected, along with strong gusts again. The temperature will likely only rise to about 16 degrees.

This indicates a clear trend: after the warm Tuesday, it will gradually become cooler, windier, and more changeable – with recurring periods of rain.

Pollen levels north of the Danube remain mostly low

For Bavaria north of the Danube – excluding the Bavarian Forest and Mainfranken – overall low pollen levels are forecast for the coming days. For many allergy sufferers, this means rather calm conditions, also because with changeable weather and occasional rain, fewer pollen remain in the air.

• Ash pollen: none to low on both days
• Ragweed, mugwort, alder, hazel, and rye: mostly no exposure on Tuesday and Wednesday

Regensburg is thus facing a clear weather change: after the warm Tuesday, cooler and windier days with occasional wet weather will follow. For allergy sufferers, the situation in large parts of northern Bavaria north of the Danube remains comparatively calm overall.
